Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the MoveMouse mobile application (“App”, “Service”) operated by Cool Artifacts (“us”, “we”, “our”).
By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the App immediately.
Cool Artifacts grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, strictly in accordance with these Terms. This licence may be revoked at any time if you violate these Terms or misuse the App.
The App connects your Android device to a computer via Bluetooth HID (Human Interface Device). You are solely responsible for ensuring that Bluetooth usage complies with the rules of your environment (e.g. workplace, school, or public venue). Cool Artifacts is not responsible for any unauthorised access to devices facilitated through the App.
The App includes the following features that send automated input to connected computers:
Macro recording and playback: You may record and replay sequences of mouse movements and keyboard inputs. You are solely responsible for what macros you create and replay. Do not use macros to simulate human activity in contexts that prohibit automation, to interfere with systems you do not own or have permission to control, or to violate any applicable law or agreement.
Random movement: The App can move the mouse cursor automatically using randomised patterns. This feature must only be used on computers you own or are authorised to operate, and must not be used to deceive monitoring systems or violate any workplace, school, or platform policy.
Air Mouse: The App uses your device’s motion sensors (gyroscope and accelerometer) to control the cursor by tilting the phone. Sensor data is processed locally on your device in real time and is never stored or transmitted.
Background task notifications: When random movement or loop playback runs while the App is in the background, the App displays a persistent system notification indicating which task is active and on which device. The notification includes a Stop button allowing you to end the task without reopening the App. A one-time notification is also shown if the App is closed or the task is interrupted by the system while a background task was running. These notifications are functional only and contain no advertising or tracking.
Unintended input: Automated features (macro playback, random movement) can cause unintended actions on the connected computer. Cool Artifacts is not liable for any data loss, document changes, or other consequences resulting from automated input sent by the App.
All content, trademarks, code, and materials in the App are the property of Cool Artifacts or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cool Artifacts, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, and affiliates shall not be liable for:
(a) Direct damages – including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, loss of business, damage to hardware or software, or costs of substitute services, arising from your use of or inability to use the App;
(b) Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages – even if Cool Artifacts has been advised of the possibility of such damages;
(c) Automated input damages – any damage caused by macro playback, random movement, air mouse control, or any other automated feature of the App, including unintended keystrokes, mouse actions, or data modification on connected computers;
(d) Third-party damages – any claim by a third party arising from or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to damage to third-party hardware, unauthorised control of a third party’s computer, or breach of third-party agreements.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for certain types of damages, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. In no event shall our total cumulative liability exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.
You assume full responsibility for selecting and using the App to achieve your intended results, and for the results obtained from it.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cool Artifacts and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use or misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using it you confirm that you meet this requirement. Users between 13 and 15 years old (or under 16 in most EU member states) should have parental or guardian consent. Specifically, under French law and the GDPR as implemented in France, users under 15 years of age require verifiable parental consent to use digital services. If you are under the applicable age threshold in your country, please ask a parent or guardian to review and accept these Terms on your behalf.
Cool Artifacts may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice and without liability, if you breach any provision of these Terms or misuse the App in any way. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 3, 4, 5, and 6) shall remain in effect.
The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own terms and privacy policies:
Google AdMob: Serves non-personalised advertisements within the App. The App does not use the Android Advertising ID or request targeted ads; Google may process limited device data for ad delivery, frequency capping and fraud prevention. See Google’s Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Google Play In-App Reviews: Enables the App to request a Play Store rating from you after positive usage sessions. This is governed by Google Play’s terms of service.
Cool Artifacts is not responsible for the practices of these third parties. By using the App, you also agree to the applicable terms of those third-party services.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of France. If you are a consumer in another EU member state, you retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence under applicable consumer protection law.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through an in-app notification displayed on next launch, with at least 30 days’ notice before the changes take effect. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
